Students Draven Dominguez, Victor Nunez, Paizlie Reyna-Mata, and Adamaris Ramirez Curiel participated in the "Flour Baby Project" last week for Mrs. Martinez's Child Development class. The goal of this project was to get the students to understand the time and commitment it takes in taking care of a newborn baby, while also understanding the high costs of items to ensure the baby's needs are met. The students were to carry around a 5-pound baby of flour while at school and "take care" of the baby at home, which included finding a babysitter if they needed to go anywhere. While Victor, Paizlie, and Adamaris were assigned one baby, Draven had the task of caring for twins.

The Hart Longhorns win 4 in a row after defeating the Anton Bulldogs, 58-32. They will open district play at Whitharral, Friday, October 7, at 7:30. Due to a referee shortage, the Shorthorns will tag along with the Varsity and play at Whitharral, at 5:30. It is a double-header, so that means twice the football, twice the fun. Go out and support our teams!!! Hook 'Em Horns!!!
