Hart ISD will operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch
Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2023-2024 school year. Schools qualifying to operate
CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal
applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This approach reduces burdens for both
families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.

Fifth grade students had a fun-filled day of science. The class heard and participated in presentations from Pantex, NASA, STEAM, Meteorologist John Harris, and Xcel Energy.

Junior High Cross Country runners were among the top runner and medaled at the Lubbock Roosevelt Meet. In the boys' division Jayden Juzaino placed 7th with a time of 13:13 and Avram Morales came in 10th with a time of 13:24. In the girls' division Lexi Cisneros placed 3rd with a time of 14:19 and Mia Longoria came in 12th with a time of 15:10. Great job Junior High Longhorns and Ladyhorns!
